This resource is a great way to start working with newcomers. I was having to find things piecemeal and this has it all. It is a lifesaver!

I think this resource is great! I use the slides regularly from the units and print out some of the PDF pages for my students to follow along. I would love to be able to edit the slides, simply to be able to add my own thoughts or reminders for students. I think my students would benefit from Can-Do statements begin added after the bell-ringer for each day. However, I can also share this on my own. The picture dictionaries are great and I LOVE the QR codes on so many of the files, this is great homework practice and excellent if I need to leave a sub plan so they can work more independently even if the student does not read English well on their own yet. My students love the "This or That?" questions. I also give them each a Post-it every day to write their bellringer and have found it to be an efficient amount of space for those activities!

The ELL Newcomer Packet for Beginner Worksheets in Vocabulary and Writing is an incredible resource, especially for teachers new to working with high school newcomer students like me. The pre-made lessons are a lifesaver—they are easy to use, engaging for students, and work well both in person and in my Google Classroom. My students genuinely enjoy the activities, and I appreciate how seamlessly they fit into my teaching routine. This packet has made my transition to teaching high school newcomers so much smoother. Highly recommended for any teacher working with beginner-level English learners!
